Spectra Premium Industries was founded in 1989 and is based in Boucherville, Québec, Canada. Employing over 1 500 employees across North America, Spectra Premium Industries is engaged in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and distribution of key automotive parts for the aftermarket and original equipment manufacturers.

1989 Spectra Steel Industries is founded by opening a 25,000 ft2 fuel tank manufacturing factory in Longueuil, Quebec. 25
1993 Merger with Premium Automotive (Port Hawkesbury, Cape Breton) results in Spectra Premium Industries Inc.

The head office and the fuel tank factory move to a 100,000 ft2 facility in Boucherville, Quebec.
